قامت قوات الأمن والجيش بسلطانه شرق ليبيا منذ حوالي نصف ساعة بإيقاف سير قافلة الصمود عند مدخل مدينة سرت. وقد تعلل المسؤولون الأمنيون بضرورة انتظار الحصول على تعليمات بالموافقة من بنغازي من أجل المرور.
وازاء هذا الموقف المفاجئ قررت هيئة تسيير القافلة عدم المغادرة والصف على يمين الطريق والتخييم على عين المكان هذه الليلة إن لزم الأمر.
تدعو قافلة الصمود سلطات بنغازي الى تجسيد موقفها المرحب بمبادرتنا الشجاعة ، كما ورد في بيان وزارة الخارجية عشية امس، واستقبال قافلتنا. فكلنا ثقة في أن حفاوة الشعب الليبي واحتضانه لقافلتنا لا يعرف فرقا بين شرق وغرب.
كما تدعو كل الاطراف ذات الصلة الى التدخل من اجل تسهيل مهمة قافلتنا ذات الرسالة النبيلة المعلومة والوحيدة: المساهمة شعبيا في فك الحصار والتجويع والابادة عن اهلنا في غزة.
م: نطمئن أهالي المشاركين في القافلة أن جميع أفرادها بخير ومجتمعون بمكان واحد بضعة كيلومترات قبل سرت. وأن عدم الرد على الاتصالات يعود الى انقطاع شبكات الهاتف في مكان توقفنا.

Les forces de sécurité et l’armée relevant des autorités de l’Est libyen ont interrompu, il y a environ une demi-heure, la progression de la Caravene Soumoud à l’entrée de la ville de Syrte. Les responsables sécuritaires ont justifié cette décision par la nécessité d’attendre des instructions de Benghazi pour autoriser le passage.
Face à cette situation inattendue, le comité de coordination de la caravane a décidé de ne pas faire demi-tour, de se ranger sur le côté droit de la route, et de camper sur place cette nuit si nécessaire.
La caravane Soumoud appelle les autorités de Benghazi à traduire en acte leur position accueillante envers notre initiative courageuse, telle qu’exprimée dans le communiqué du ministère des Affaires étrangères hier soir, en nous permettant de continuer notre route. Nous avons pleine confiance du peuple libyen, qui ne fait pas de distinction entre l’Est et l’Ouest.
Nous appelons également toutes les parties concernées à intervenir pour faciliter la mission de notre caravane, qui porte un message noble, clair et unique : contribuer, par une initiative populaire, à briser le siège, la famine et l’extermination visant notre peuple à Gaza.
Note : Nous rassurons les familles des participants à la caravane : tous les membres vont bien et sont regroupés en un seul lieu à quelques kilomètres avant Syrte. Le manque de réponse aux appels est dû à une coupure des réseaux téléphoniques à l’endroit où nous sommes arrêtés.

About half an hour ago, security forces and the army under the Eastern Libyan authority stopped the progress of the #Soumoud_Convoy at the city of Sirte entrance. Security officials cited the need to wait for approval and instructions from the Benghazi in order to proceed.
In response to this unexpected situation, the convoy’s organisation committee decided not o leave and instead to line up on the right side of the road and camp at the site overnight if necessary.
The #Soumoud_Convoy calls on the authorities of Benghazi to embody their stance towards our brave initiative, as stated in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ statement yesterday evening, and to welcome our convoy.
We are fully confident that the warmth and support of the Libyan people for our cause knows no division between East and West. We also call on all concerned parties to intervene in order to facilitate the mission of our convoy, which carries a clear and noble message: to contribute, through supported efforts, to breaking the siege, starvation, and genocide against our people in Gaza.
Note: we reassure the families of the convoy participants that all members are safe and gathered in one place a few kilometres before Sirte. The lack of response to calls is due to phone network outages at our location.
